The Pathways to Languages & Global Opportunities: Languages Summer Program
The Pathways to Languages & Global Opportunities: Languages Summer Program, a program under the Papal Office for Projects, held across Cairo, Alexandria, Kafr El Shiekh, and desert areas in June - July 2026.
This initiative provides free foreign language education to over 500 underprivileged youth, helping them access better academic and employment opportunities. Participants receive instruction in English, German, French, and Russian, with each student enrolled in one or more languages. Courses are taught by native-speaking volunteer educators.
Why this project matters
In today’s world, knowing a second language can change a young person’s future. Many students from low-income families in Egypt cannot afford private language courses, which puts them at a disadvantage academically and professionally.
This program helps bridge that gap by offering high-quality language education at no cost, taught by dedicated volunteer educators in a structured learning environment.
Our Impact
We helped cover essential costs for many students, including:
-
Educational materials and certificates
-
Classroom utilities and facility expenses
-
Accommodation and meals for volunteer teachers
-
Transportation for instructors
By supporting this project, Pope Kyrillos Charity is helping equip young people with practical language skills and empowering them with opportunities for future academic and employment pathways.
