At Pope Kyrillos VI, we believe every young person deserves the chance to learn, grow, and succeed. Education has the power to open doors, break barriers, and shape futures; and we want to make that opportunity possible for students who might otherwise be left behind.
Our charity helps provide access to quality education for students in need, beginning with our work in Egypt and, in time, expanding to reach students worldwide. We aim to support learners through financial assistance, learning opportunities, and mentorship that equip them to build brighter futures.

Who we are
Pope Kyrillos VI is a registered Canadian charity based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, inspired by the compassion and service of Pope Kyrillos VI. We are a Christian organization rooted in the Coptic Orthodox faith, dedicated to helping those in need through education and care.
While our long-term vision is global, our current focus is on supporting students in Egypt who face barriers to education due to financial hardship or limited access to resources.
We collaborate with trusted community and educational partners to identify students and families most in need of support. For now, our focus is on sponsoring students in Egypt, with plans to expand to other countries as we grow.
We support students across all grade levels in Egypt and, in the future, across the world. Some of these students are sponsored to continue their studies in their local schools, where we help cover full or partial tuition so they can remain in school and pursue their education without financial strain. Others are given the chance to study Canadian-based education remotely, allowing them to earn a Canadian Ontario high school diploma while staying in their home country. This gives them a globally recognized credential and greater opportunities for postsecondary studies.
Depending on each student’s goals and circumstances, we may also assist with their postsecondary education, offering full or partial financial support based on individual needs and available resources.

The Spirit Behind Our Mission
Pope Kyrillos VI served as the 116th Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church from 1959 to 1971. Known for his deep humility, constant prayer, and unwavering faith, he was a spiritual father to many and remains one of the most beloved figures in modern Coptic history. He led with simplicity and devotion, often spending hours in prayer and offering guidance to those in need.
